To the Class of 2023
Instead of being the 99th person to tell you to “pursue your passion in life” today, I’d like to be the 1st person to suggest a few specific things. These are the things I wish someone would have told me when I graduated. So, I’m paying it forward to you, dear Class of 2023.

Much like everything else, the Oreo cookie has had to reinvent itself over the years to continue its appeal to the masses in an ever-changing marketplace. Being “America’s Best Loved Cookie” just isn’t good enough. Now it’s higher education’s turn to learn the Oreo lessons.
Why General Education Credits Matter
When a society is built on a population with a well-rounded education, everybody wins. We all win when choices are being made by people who understand how to interpret data; express complex ideas effectively; think critically and contextually; and create logical, actionable plans. You owe it to your fellow citizens to be one of those people.
